Scott - I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you for the professional fitting! The experience was perfect and the results outstanding. I have been through the 'fitting' process prior to working with you and now, thanks to your efforts, truly have a set suited for me and my game. Not only are my long irons performing as expected but the wedges..... WOW! Stepping them made all the difference for me. The are soft, responsive and dead on accurate. That alone has already dropped my handicap to a 2.8 from a pre season 3.9. Thanks!

PS - I have been going back in forth between the Pro V1 and Taylor Made Penta TP.... the Penta is equal in distance and flight yet much more playable from 80 yards in.

For several years I'd demoed and dreamed of owning Mizuno irons and finally landed a set of barely-used demo MP57's last fall. They had the legendary Mizuno feel when hit properly, but I struggled with inconsistency to the point of worrying that perhaps they were too much club for my game. I started having a bit of buyer's remorse.
My brother Vinny introduced me to Scott earlier this spring while I was up visiting Connecticut from Tennessee. I was eyeballing the new MX300's at the Stony Hill shop, thinking that the added forgiveness was more suited to my swing and inquired with Scott about trading in the MP57's on the MX300's. Scott talked me out of it. He said to bring my current clubs in next time I was up and let him work on them. He said they would feel like new clubs when he was done. I admit to being skeptical.
I struggled with the clubs for a few more months. There is no shortage of club fitters here in Tennessee who could probably have tweaked them a bit but based on my brother's recommendation I scheduled a trip back to Connecticut with the clubs. I dropped in on Scott unannounced, but he proceeded to set me up on the range with some impact tape and a bucket of balls.
After watching the flight path of several shots he began bending and tweaking the clubs, dialing them in as I hit. It was amazing to experience the immediate changes in the swing feel and ball flight that occurred as he adjusted them and handed them back. When he was done with the clubs, he proceeded to adjust my stance a bit to make it easier to find the sweet spot. It occurred to me that I'd been expending a lot of effort compensating for the clubs in their original configuration.
The results are amazing. The clubs are indeed like new ones and much more consistent. In fact, I now have complete confidence in them (as opposed to apprehension) during a swing and it's due to Scotty's fitting skills and honesty. He could have sold me a new set for $900 but instead it only cost me $35 to have my dream set dialed in to my swing. Scott will have all my club fitting business from now on, even though it means getting on a plane to get fit. Thanks again Scott!

Just wanted to compliment you and your staff for the personal attention they gave to me during my recent club fitting (especially Adam Ross). Fred Roy suggested that I drive up to Bethel for a fitting and it was more than worth the trip.

I'm not sure if you can remember on my but I have purchased some Ping clubs this summer. During the clubfitting we found out to complete my Ping Rapture set with Ping G10 Driver, 3 wood and 3 hybrids. At this time my hcp was 29 and during the season dropped down to Hcp 22,2. Of course the equipment is not everything but it gives me confidence to use the driver more often - resp. always. The clubfitting fullfiled their target. Thank you also for the honest recomendation on the clubs and on my swing.

Thank you for your time, patience, and professionalism in the process in checking me for proper fitting/feeling irons.
Outdoor fitting with attention to ball flight was the true test of a club-head/shaft performance for me over a series of shots. (I say series to discount all those clunkers I hit). I was surprised by the difference of feel and results in the various combinations. Fitting is just part of the solution, trying the various combos available completes the process.
Going from steel to graphite and back to steel during the process gave me all of the information to feel confident in the selection of a light weight steel shaft.
I truly enjoyed the experience you provided at Performance ClubWorks.

Scotty, you were right when you told me that I would be in good hands with Mike.I was still hearing, "here, try this one" for about 3 hours after my fitting.Mike hung with me for quite a while.After many clubs, shafts, weights, lofts, etc, and many repetitions of each, the end result was the right club for me.From here on out, I am going to refer to Mike as the "Zen Clubfitter."I walked in thinking Superquad, FT-5 and Ping Rapture and walked out with a Ping G5.Mike asked me to clear my mind of any predispositions and he was right!
I snuck onto my home golf course and hit a few....I am very happy with the results.Mike helped me achieve what I set out to do.I wanted to get more carry and eliminate my tendency to push my long drives to the right.The G5 - Comp NT combined with the move from a 9.0 degree loft to a 10.5 degree loft resulted in about 20 more yards of carry (some of them because my drives were straighter than usual) than my Callaway 454 and helped reduce the dispersion of my drives.

Getting computer analyzed really taught me a lot about my stroke and what I needed to do to improve it. The new stroke combined with a custom fit putter now produces true skid free puts.
